How early do I arrive?

We strongly suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment start time, especially…

if it is your first visit to Pure Spa. This allows time to change into your robe and to fill out the appropriate forms prior to treatment. This also gives you some time to relax and take in the view in our waterfront lounge. Please note that if you are late for your appointment, we may need to complete the service in the allotted time in consideration of the next guest.

 

What should I bring?

If you are receiving a pedicure, we suggest bringing a pair of sandals so your…

toes can continue to dry even after you leave. We supply shampoo and conditioner, body lotion, and hair dryers. Any other grooming products required are the guest’s responsibility. If you are receiving a facial, massage, body treatment or pedicure you will be offered a locker upon arrival and will have the option to change into the robe and flip-flops provided. Please note that if you are late for your treatment, you may have to change in the treatment room so as not to use up the time remaining.

Do I disrobe entirely for my spa treatment?

It is typical to take off everything except bra and underwear under your robe…

Then it depends on the treatment; your therapist will instruct you on what to take off when you enter the treatment room. Our Therapists are trained on draping to ensure your privacy at all times.

 

What if I am running late?

We will try our very best to accommodate you, however if your service conflicts… 

with the following client we will end your service at the time it was originally scheduled to end.

 

Can I cancel at any time?

For cancellations, Pure Spa has a firm 24 hours notice cancellation… 

policy. After this time, you will be subject to a 50% charge based on the cost of the service.

What is the difference between a relaxation massage and a therapeutic massage?

A relaxation massage is designed to relax you, this service is generally a lighter… 

pressure and very soothing and calming. Alternatively, a therapeutic massage is designed to treat an injury or issue. Your therapist will discuss any pain, stiffness, previous injuries etc. and will determine which massage best suits your needs. We ask that you fill out a brief and confidential health history form prior to your first massage at Pure Spa.

 

May I ask my therapist to make adjustments for my comfort?

Absolutely, at any point during your treatment you can ask the therapist…

 to adjust their pressure or any aspect of the service. Please let us know so that we can provide you with the best treatment possible.

 

Should I alert someone if I have a physical ailment?

Definitely, please give your therapist all of your health issues and…

concerns so we are better able to give you the best possible treatment. If at any point during your treatment or your time at Pure Spa you do not feel well, please let any staff member know.

 

Can I book treatments if I am pregnant?

We have a number of services that are appropriate for pregnant women…

 If you have any questions or hesitation, please call us and our front desk staff would be happy to answer any of your questions. At Pure Spa we also have a pregnancy pillow for Massage Therapy services, this is any amazing experience and a chance to relax on your belly safely and comfortably!

Can I use my cell phone and/or other electronic devices?

We strongly ask you to leave all devices in your locker or turn them… 

to silent when you enter the spa. The spa is a place to leave the rest of the world at the front door, for you and all of our other patrons. Please respect your down time as well as that of those around you.

What does a body treatment entail?

Our body treatments take place in our Vichy shower room. This is a lay down…

shower that has 7 pressurized jets that pulse down on you like a warm rain. When you enter the room your, therapist will instruct you how to proceed and suggest you remove your undergarments because they will get wet during the treatment. You may wear a bathing suit or undergarments but it is not necessary, as you will be draped with towels the entire time. The therapist will leave the room while you disrobe and lay down. Depending on the treatment chosen, your therapist will guide you through the service. All body treatments conclude with a Vichy shower, while the jets pulse down, your therapist will perform a scalp, shoulder and neck massage.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available for purchase online, over the phone and in person. If Gift Cards are purchased over the phone they will be available for someone to pick up here at Pure Spa. We do not mail Gift Cards. Gift cards can be issued for a monetary value or for a service/package. You may also add the gratuity to the gift card if you choose. Gift cards for a monetary value can be used for both Pure Spa and Moksha Yoga Charlottetown to purchase any service or retail item excluding other Gift Cards. Gift Cards do not expire. The card must be presented at time of redemption. Pure Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Gift Cards can not be returned or redeemed for cash.

Spa Amenities

Pure Spa provides men’s and ladies change rooms with showers and private lockers with spa robes, sandals, towels and grooming essentials. We also offer a comfortable lounge with refreshments overlooking Charlottetown’s historic waterfront to relax in before and after your treatments.
Pure Spa also has an Infrared sauna, couples treatment room, Vichy shower room, and pedicure & manicure room that can accommodate up to 8 guests at a time.

Gratuity

We believe the decision to extend a gratuity should be the result of a wonderful client experience, and left to the discretion of the client. With the exception of group bookings, gratuities are not included in the spa treatments although the range is typically 15% to 20%. Please note that for parties of six or more, a 15% gratuity will automatically be added to each guest’s bill.

Cancellation policy

If you should need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly request at least 24 hours notice. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge of 50% of the service’s cost. Package reservations require a 48 hour notice. Group bookings for four persons or greater are subject to a seven day cancellation policy. Thank you for your consideration.
